The Big Bus Records label and Studio was started as a way to release more music for producers Rasta Rick Ray and Patrick "Quashi" Mitchell.  With both fully engaged and livicated to a Rastafari way of exsistance, it was on many occasions the two were called together to produce and play music on various projects.  There seamed that there was always a new artist coming into town, or showing up that needed some production work and while working together both agreed that live music instrumentation and a certain level of professional quality was lacking in the music and productions they were introduced to.  Both decided it was time to create a change and come with strong Rastafari music done with authenticity and a full respect for the culture of the music and the brothers and sisters who had come before to pave the way for I n I.  It was this love for TRUE, AUTHENTIC, ROOTS music and the love for His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie that Big Bus records and studio was born.
